The Jordan Automotive Group presented a $75,000 check to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana Thursday.
The money will go toward their "Food 4 Kids Backpack" program. It helps feed kids in need during the weekend.
Executive Director for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, Marijo Martinec, says this will help make sure children in our area will always have a meal.
This will help provide food for over 2300 kids in the area, according to the non-profit.
Martinec stated, "You know, people have lots of negative comments oftentimes about hungry people, but it's hard to look at the face of a hungry child and say like, 'Hey, we're not gonna help you.'"
This donation was made possible through a 17-year partnership with the Jordan Automotive Group.
Robert Perugini, Marketing/General Sales Manager for the Jordan Automotive Group, explained, "We've been doing this for so long. It's like, I couldn't imagine not doing that."
