Food Bank of Northern Indiana wants you to wear orange

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Food Bank of Northern Indiana is going orange.

It is all to help spread the word about hunger.

Thousands of Hoosiers do not know where their next mean is coming from.

So, the food bank wants you to wear orange to help those in need.

"Orange is the color of hunger," Marijo Martinec said. "Hopefully, it generates a dialog between people and starts a conversation between people so we can take about hunger in our community."

On Sept. 15, the food bank is hosting a fundraisers called "Mash the Creek."

It is a 5K-10K Trial Run at Potato State Creek Park.
