Former Detroit mayor sentenced

DETROIT — A judge sentenced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick in a federal court Thursday.
The judge sentence Kilpatrick to 28 years.
In March, the former mayor was convicted of two dozen charges including racketeering and extortion.
The judge will recommend Kilpatrick be sent to a prison in Texas where his family lives.
