Former ND student headed to trial

TROY, Mich. -- A former Notre Dame student will go to trial in connection to the murder of his dad, a Notre Dame alum.
A Troy judge decided Monday morning that there is enough evidence to move forward with the murder trial of Patrick Mikes, junior.
Police believed that he killed his dad in the basement of their Michigan home.
The 21-year-old's attorney says there is no evidence that he had the intent to kill his dad.
