A former NFL player's wife was sentenced to 3-and-a-half years in prison for a fatal hit-and-run accident last year.
Amy Senser, wife of former Minnesota Viking Joe Senser, killed a 38-year-old man in August 2011 and then fled the accident.
She testified that she thought she hit a traffic cone.
The remorseful Senser apologized and hugged the victim's mother and even tattooed his name on her wrist.
"We felt a relief to actually speak for herself and just hear her apology," Cindy Phanthavong, the victim's niece, said.
The victim's family said the verdict was justice.
