Former Purdue wide receiver, Rondale Moore, dead at 25

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Former Purdue and NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore died Saturday according to ESPN. 

Moore was 25 years old. 

According to WRTV, The New Albany Police Chief confirmed that Moore was discovered deceased in the garage of a property from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Floyd County Coroner Matthew Tomlin confirmed there was no threat to the public and an autopsy will be conducted Sunday.

Former head coach, Jeff Brohm, released this statement saying, "Rondale Moore was a complete joy to coach. The ultimate competitor that wouldn't back down from a challenge. Rondale had a great work ethic unmatched by anyone. A great teammate that would come through in any situation. We all loved Rondale, we loved his smile and competitive edge that always wanted to please everyone he came in contact with. We offer all of our thoughts and prayers to Rondale and his family; we love him very much."
