Former Silver Hawk makes professional debut with Diamondbacks

ARIZONA -- A former South Bend Silver Hawks pitching prospect made his major debut on Wednesday.
The Arizona Diamondbacks called up Tyler Skaggs and will make the start game one of a double header against the Miami Marlins.
Skaggs helped the team win 3-2.
The 21-year-old lefty is taking the step into the bigs from the Triple A affiliate in Reno.
Skaggs was acquired by Arizona in 2010 in a trade.
