Free and in-person FAFSA completion event being hosted in South Bend
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Community Foundation of St. Joseph County is hosting a free, in-person FAFSA completion event at Ivy Tech in South Bend.
As part of their 21st Century Scholar Success Initiative, the foundation is in an effort to dramatically increase the number of low-income students who can acquire well-paying jobs after receiving education past the high school level.
Statistics show that the number of Indiana high school seniors who have completed filing FAFSA this year is currently down ten percent compared to this time in 2020.
The event will offer on-on-one, in-person assistance from InvestEd and Ivy Tech representatives.
All those who attend will get free food, receive Ivy Tech giveaways and be entered into a raffle for a $50 Visa gift card.
This event will be on March 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ivy Tech, 220 Dean Johnson Blvd. South Bend, Indiana.
The deadline to file your FAFSA is April 15.
