SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame Head Coach Marcus Freeman said consistency is what wins or loses games and he's trying to make sure the team is heading in the right direction after the 0-2 start to the season.
“As a head coach, it's as a leader. It's important to wear the hat that's necessary in that moment, no matter if it's offense, defense, special teams, recruiting, anything, right? It's, it's being able to put on the hat that's necessary at this moment,” said Freeman.
In just two games under new coordinator Chris Ash, the defense has given up 68 points, 827 total yards, ranked 119th in scoring defense, and are tied for last in the nation with only one sack.
They're also dead last at 136th in tackles for a loss with zero.
