(CNN) -- Friday is National Panda Day, the day for animal lovers to celebrate pandas and the efforts to save them.
Natives of China, giant pandas are an endangered species.
There are only about 100 in zoos around the world.
The good news is World Wide Fund for Nature says the wild panda population is on the rise thanks to conservation efforts.
