This week Walmart announced plans to hire 100,000 veterans in the next five years but some are asking if the retail giant would be rolling back their salaries.
In the US, the average wage for a full-time Walmart employee is roughly $26,000 a year.
The average salary for an enlisted soldier with 8 years of experience is more than $45,000 but many vets have struggled to find work.
Eleven percent of the nation's veterans are unemployed.
