We had our first widespread frost and freeze of the season. Many woke up to their cars coated in a glaze and had to use their scrapers. Cities in Michiana bottomed out in the upper 20s to low 30s this morning. Most being at or below freezing!
Although this first freeze is later in the season for some than normal, it is not the latest ‘first freeze’ date we have seen (at 32 degrees).
-Benton Harbor Nov. 26th (1890)
-South Bend Nov. 11th (1985)
-Goshen Nov. 4th (1973)
We have more cold mornings in our 10 day forecast, so keep the window scraper nearby!
