FULTON COUNTY, Ind. -- Authorities say the driver of a Kia Sport was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash on S.R. 25, near C.R. 500 S on Sunday, July 20.

According to Indiana State Police, just after 2:30 p.m., ISP Troopers, along with officers from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, and the Fulton Police Department arrived at the scene.

The preliminary crash investigation indicated that 43-year-old Nicole L. Davis, of Gary, was driving a 2021 KIA Sport heading north on S.R.  25 with a 41-year-old male and a juvenile passenger.

"For an undetermined reason, the KIA traveled into the pathway of a 2014 Ford F-150," ISP said.

"Nicole Davis was pronounced deceased at the crash scene by the Fulton County Coroner's Office. [The adult male] and the juvenile were transported to an area hospital for serious injuries."

The driver of the Ford was also transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Authorities say that this is an ongoing investigation, and, at this time, neither the consumption of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected of contributing to this crash.
