Fulton Town Marshal arrested for misconduct, theft

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. -- After a two month investigation by the Indiana State Police, Fulton Town Marshal Jason Coleman was arrested Wednesday evening on six counts of theft and one count of official misconduct.



According to police, the Fulton Town Board President and Town Clerk contacted the Indiana State Police with allegations Coleman had been submitting hours for compensation that were not actually worked.



According to investigators, over the last five years, Coleman collected over $6,700.



At the time of the investigation, Coleman was the Rochester Police Chief.



Coleman turned himself in to the Fulton County Jail Wednesday afternoon and then bonded out.
