Gardening experts: Hold off on planting flowers

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- With all of this nice weather, you may think it's time to start planting flowers, but that's not what experts told us!

We stopped by Home Depot's Garden Center on Monday.

The last frost usually does not come until the end of April or early May.

Employees said you may want to hold off on planting flowers and other plants, but now is a great time to lay soil and fix up your lawn.

"Yeah it's still too early, any of your annual flowering plants or vegetables its way too early, our average last frost is the end of April or early May, and just beacuse it's warm now, that's still probably where we are lookin for last frost," said Operations Manager Jeff Davis.

Employees told us snowblower sales were suprisingly strong this winter, because when we got snow, we got a lot of it!
