Gary toddler kidnapped from foster home at gunpoint, found

UPDATE: As of 10 p.m. Tuesday night, Indiana State Police have canceled the Amber Alert for Timothy Jackson Jr.

The Gary Police Department says he was found and have not released any further details.

Original Story: Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night, Indiana State Police issued an Amber Alert for a 1-year-old child from Gary.

Timothy Jackson Jr. was abducted from a foster home at the 2000 block of Waite Street in Gary around 12:30 a.m by two suspects wearing masks, and armed with sawed off shotguns.

According to police information, Timothy Jackson Sr., 17, and Rosalinda Tecaxco, 15, could be responsible for the abduction.

At the time, there is no vehicle description.

The abductors and child are believed to still be in Northwest Indiana.

Timothy Jackson Jr. is a black male, 32 inches tall, 28 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. 

He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and diaper.
