Gas leak in South Bend repaired, SR2 reopens

At least one business was evacuated and SR 2 was shut down Tuesday because of a gas leak near SR2 and Chapel Lane.
The gas leak was reported around 11 a.m.
NIPSCO responded to the scene and spend several hours making the repairs.
The road reopened around 3:15 p.m.
