GRANGER, Ind. -- Gates Automotive opened their doors on State Road 23 in Granger Wednesday.

The business created about 35 new jobs in the area.

Gates Automotive not only does maintenance and has a full service body shop, but sells cars too.

The owner says they bring something unique to the area.

"The location is perfect for us. There's a need out here in Granger--there's nothing else like us out here or similar to this with a used car facility. We're hoping to service the Edwardsburg, Cassopolis, Niles area as well," said Joel Gates, one of the owners.

Gates Automotive also has other locations in the Mishawaka-South Bend area.
