'Gift to the Community Christmas Lights' happening at Winding Brook Park

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Winding Brook Park in Mishawaka is known by residents for the holiday decorations displayed every year at Christmas time and contributing thousands of dollars to local charities at the same time.

Gift to the Community Christmas Lights organizers say they've been fortunate enough in recent years to help others with their light displays.

Organizers explain it's through the generous donations of visitors who drive through the neighborhood each December that they're able to contribute thousands of dollars every year to local charities.

Organizers say the event is free, but donations for charity are collected at the exit.
