The Geminid Meteor shower peaks Wednesday and Thursday night, meaning those are the nights you're most likely to see a shooting star, but the showers continue through December 24th. December is often a cloudy month in Michiana, but the forecast is fair and cold for viewing the next two nights.
- Find a dark location away from city lights
- The Dr. Lawless International Dark Sky Park near Vandalia, Michigan is a good location
- Look UP!
- Your back to the north, and looking slightly east may point you in the right direction but it's not that precise.
- The best time to look is from Midnight through the early morning.
