Goshen business scam alert

Businesses in Goshen are warning of a scam.
The manager of San Marcos in Goshen says someone called the business Friday saying the electric bill was overdue, and that it needed to be paid immediately.
The owner called NIPSCO to double check the information, but found the restaurant was up to date on paying the bills.
The same thing happened to the owner of Tiki Tan in Goshen, receiving a call saying the same thing.
The owner found out through NIPSCO that his bill was current.
Goshen Police say you should always check with your service provider before giving money to any caller.
