Goshen City Council votes against rezoning for new apartment complex

GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen’s City Council voted 4-3 on Monday against rezoning a plot on East Douglas Street in order to turn the plot into an apartment complex.

Initial proposals showed a new $31 million-dollar mixed-use apartment building being placed in a former industrial plot.

Plans for the apartment received backlash in recent months from neighbors concerned about the location, increased traffic and parking issues that the new complex would cause.
