Goshen Library to host a bookmark design contest

GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen Library is hosting a bookmark design contest for Hispanic Heritage Month and is calling on members of the Goshen community to participate.

Participants are invited to submit artwork designs based on the prompt "What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you?"

Two winners will be selected, one for ages 17 and under, and another for ages 18 and up.

Winning designs will be printed on bookmarks that will be distributed from the library throughout Sept. 15 - Oct. 15.

Judges for the contest will consist of members from the Goshen Community, including Rocio Diaz the Director for Community Engagement and Outreach at Goshen College, Richard Aguirre the Clerk Treasurer for the City of Goshen, and Celeste Ruano the Parent Liaison at Prairie View Elementary.

“I can’t wait to see the unique representation of Hispanic Heritage Month from the perspective of our community,” said Adriana Martinez Diaz de Leon, a Community Outreach Specialist at the library.

Entry forms are available to be picked up at the library and designs can be submitted through Aug. 30.
