Goshen man assaulted and robbed at gun point by four men

GOSHEN, Ind. - Police we called to an assault and armed robber in Goshen early Saturday morning.


Officers rushed to 425 Brookside Manor where a man said he was robbed at gun point by four men.


The call for help came in at 1:25 a.m.


According to the Goshen Police Department the man was given a ride home by the suspects. He told them that he was getting out of the car in front of his home on Brookside Manor when the suspects hit him in the head, forced him to the ground and held a handgun to his head. He told officers that they took his personal belongings and ran off.


The victim complained of head pain but did not need to be taken to the hospital.


Officers tracked down the suspect vehicle in the back parking lot of a business where the suspects picked up the victim. All four men were arrested and booked in at the Elkhart County Jail.


All four subjects were arrested for robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.


The suspects have been identified as Robert Hass, 22, of Elkhart. Mykell Gary, 22 of Elkhart, Marcus Gates, 25 of Elkhart and Matt Donnelly, 24 of Mishawaka.


Gary and Gates were also arrested for outstanding warrants. 


Donnelly was also arrested for Possession of Marijuana.


ABC 57 News asked Tina Kingsbury, with the Goshen Police Department in an e-mail Saturday morning  if these men were questioned in connection to the Miller murder last Sunday. 


Kingsbury responded, "The arrest in the armed robbery this morning is in no way associated with the James Miller homicide. We do not anticipate any further information being released today."


The suspect in the murder of James Miller remains on the loose.
