Goshen man killed in horse drawn vehicle accident

GOSHEN, Ind. -- A Goshen man was killed Monday afternoon when a vehicle rear ended his horse drawn farm equipment and ejected him from the vehicle, according to the Elkhart Sheriff's Department.



According to the sheriff's department, Ammon Imhoff was driving horse drawn farm equipment northeast on SR 119 north of CR40 when Shirley N Leyva Diaz's Nissan rear ended the farm equipment.



Imhoff was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene.



Leyva Diaz was taken to Indiana University Health Goshen for treatment of chest pain.



The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
