GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen Community Schools recently secured funds to begin building the new Alumni Plaza on the campus of Goshen High School.

The plaza is designed to celebrate past Goshen High achievements and support future generations of student success.

Alumni Plaza will be built on the south end of campus, adjacent to the high school's music wing, football and track complex and soccer fields.

The new addition will feature ticket booths, benches, lighting and tables and chairs.

Once built, officials hope the plaza can be a place for students, alumni and visitors alike to enjoy each other's company and take pride in their community.

Though the Goshen Community Schools Foundation has secured some funding to start construction, money is still needed to complete the landmark.

Anyone interested in leaving their mark on the GHS Alumni Plaza can do so with a donation toward its construction.

All donations can be made online.

Alumni Plaza will be unveiled on September 1 during a community event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Goshen High School in its current location.
