Goshen welcomes Karen Pence for Indiana's 200th birthday

The state of Indiana will be turning 200 in 2016. First Lady Karen Pence will be in Goshen on Monday as part of her statewide tour for Indiana's Bicentennial Celebration.

Pence is Indiana's Bicentennial Ambassador.

She will visit Goshen and learn about Bicentennial Legacy projects in Goshen and throughout Elkhart County.

12:38-12:45 p.m.        Return to Main Street and Walking Tour of Downtown Goshen to the Historic Courthouse and the Quilt Garden
12:45-12:47 p.m.        Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail overview at the Courthouse Quilt Garden
12:47-12:54 p.m.        Walk and Visit to Olympia Candy Kitchen
12:54-12:58 p.m.        Walking tour of Historic Downtown Goshen on opposite side of Main Street back to car parked at the Goshen Theater

"Mrs. Karen Pence, as the Bicentennial Ambassador, is visiting Elkhart County to see a sampling of the planned events, especially the County's Quilt Garden Series. She is a gardener and a beekeeper, in addition to being a schoolteacher, artist, and champion of Indiana's schools,” said Laura Coyne, the Chairwoman for the Elkhart County Indiana Bicentennial Commission.
