Gov. Daniels' Purdue move brings big hike in pay

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- It looks like Gov. Mitch Daniels' decision to become the next Purdue University president may have a nice affect on his wallet.

According to the Associated Press, Daniels could earn more than five times as much when he takes over at Purdue.

Paperwork between Daniels and the university calls for a salary comparable to presidents at neighboring schools.

Purdue's out-going president makes $465,000. The president of IU makes more than $530,000.
