A remnant of South Bend's past could soon be a beacon of the future. Indiana Governor Mike Pence came to town to mark the groundbreaking of the Studebaker building 113, renamed the Renaissance District.
Construction is underway now to transform the old studebaker factory into a tech and entrepreneurship hub.
The Renaissance project is one of the big projects in the regional cities initiative. The grant request is for 42 million dollars.
