Gov. Mitch Daniels drops security rule limiting people inside statehouse

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Security rules that would have limited the number of people allowed inside of the state house have been dropped.

Governor Mitch Daniels lifted the new security restrictions at the statehouse Wednesday. Under the changes, only 3,000 people would've been allowed inside at the same time, and elevators were off limits to everyone but lawmakers.

After feedback from the public, Daniels said he had a change of heart.
