Michigan high schools, indoor entertainment reopening
During her press conference Friday afternoon, Governor Gretchen Whitmer provided an update on the state's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The governor announced she has signed a order to allow indoor activities where people can remain masked. Casinos, bowling centers and movie theatres will be allowed to reopen with a cap of 100. Food and drink concessions must remain closed and social distancing must be in place.
The order is effective December 21 through January 15.
Indoor gatherings remain limited to 10 people and two households.
The order also continues the pause on indoor dining in bars and restaurants, but outdoor dining, carry out and delivery are still allowed.
Colleges have been asked to wait until January 18 to restart in-person classes.
