Government warns of possible shoe bombs
A new warning has been issued for travelers of possible shoe bomb attacks.
The government reportedly got information from sources overseas that terrorists are refocusing their efforts trying to find ways to blow up commercial planes with shoe bombs.
If you are flying soon expect more pat-downs, swabs for explosives, and more focus on shoes and carry-on items.
"Is it realistic? Who knows. But I think they must have enough information to tell the public, 'look, this is a possibility. Keep your eye out,'" said former FBI agent Brad Garrett.
Just a couple weeks ago, passengers traveling to Russia were banned from bringing toothpaste onto planes because of another possible threat involving explosives in gels and pastes.
