Governor Daniels visits South Bend Catholic school to promote voucher program
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Wednesday morning, Gov. Mitch Daniels stopped by a South Bend Catholic school to promote the new school voucher program.
Our Lady of Hungary has the most students enrolled in school of choice, locally. Daniels says it's an example of how the program has improved the lives of low and middle income families!
"They're telling me about the difference that this is making in the lives of children, how emotional that some of the parents are that they believe they've enabled their kid to have a better chance in life. That's what we wanted from this program," said Daniels.
Governor Daniels said he had a ball spending time with the students. He tested their geography skills and stressed the importance of voting.
