Grand jury fails to indict driver who allegedly fled the scene of a fatal crash

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A driver who allegedly struck a pedestrian in March, then fled the scene, was not indicted by a grand jury, according to court documents.

Brittany Burch Jensen was accused of hitting 34-year-old James Shuck with her car in the 14600 block of Michigan Road around 9:30 p.m. on March 13.

After she allegedly hit Shuck, she left the scene and went to a nearby residence. The resident of that home contacted police.

The grand jury had considered one count of leaving the scene of an accident.

Shuck died at the hospital several days after the crash.
