Friday May 8, the South Bend Cubs is hosting the grand opening of the Performance Center from 5 – 8 p.m.

The Performance Center had previously only been open during home games.

After Friday, the facility will be open full-time.

For the grand opening:

• Visitors to the Performance Center will receive 2 tokens to try out the batting cages
• Several of the baseball and softball instructors will be onsite to meet and answer questions—including former South Bend Silver Hawks manager and current Performance Center Director of Training & Instruction Mark Haley
• Complimentary food from 5-7 p.m. (hot dogs, chips, cracker jacks, soft drinks)
• Two sets of South Bend Cubs tickets will be given away every hour

“This facility embodies the entire vibe and energy of Four Winds Field,” said Mark Haley, Director of Training & Instruction of the Performance Center. “We intentionally created a building where athletes of any ability can train with the best instructors on the best equipment in the best environment. Our goal is to be the premier destination for world-class baseball and softball training.”
