Grand re-opening: Breakfast-time favorite back open for business in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A breakfast-time favorite is back open for business in Mishawaka.

On Monday, the American Pancake House on McKinley re-opened its doors.

The restaurant closed in November after a bad roofing job caused it to flood.

Employees worried that being closed for so long would hurt business, but on Monday morning, loyal customers were ready and waiting.

We talked with one group of regulars who drove by the restaurant every day just to see if it was open!

You get plenty to eat, it's clean, and everybody's friendly and nice. You can't go wrong," said James Curtis.

"It's probably the cleanest restaurant in Mishawaka. Oh yeah, probably," said Steve Obren.

"No doubt about it. They treat you like family," said Sharon Curtis.

The American Pancake House is open daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
