SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Fighting Irish boy's basketball team will have an experienced, new face on the court in the next season.

The team announced that Ethan Roberts will join the Irish after entering the transfer portal. He previously played two seasons at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as one at Army. Roberts was as part of Penn's NCAA Tournament-qualifying team this past season. That team bowed out in the first round after a loss to Illinois.

“Ethan is going to be a great addition to our program," says Irish head coach Micah Strewsberry. "He’s a good shooter, but also can score in different ways. He’ll bring some added versatility to our team on the offensive end. He’s also a great teammate who will add more leadership, competitiveness, & toughness to our group."
