Berrien County road crews are installing guard rails along a portion of Bond Street where two people were killed when their car went off the road and into Brandywine Creek.
Autumn Mehl, 29, and 26-year-old Steven Rough were found dead inside Mehl’s car Sunday February 14.
Berrien County Road Commission Manager Louis Csokasy says their phones rang off the hook with people voicing concerns about the lack of a guard rail where the accident happened.
The rail is expected to be complete Friday.
