Habitat for Humanity builds 10th and final home for the year

WALKERTON, Ind. -- Habitat for Humanity reached a major milestone.

On Sunday, it celebrated the completion of its 10th and final home for the year. This one was in Walkerton. The brand new ranch house, in the 800 block of Park Drive, now belongs to the Hughes family. They say they're excited to be homeowners.

"It’s just one of my dreams to know something is yours and your family can be proud of it,” says Jo Ann Hughes. “we put our hard work to making it possible and it was kind of fun getting to know people in our community."

The build has been made possible with through a partnership with the city of Walkerton and the neighborhood development association.
