Handgun found on Montessori school property

ELKHART, Ind. -- A person mowing the lawn at the Montessori School in Elkhart located a handgun on school property Sunday morning, according to the Elkhart Police.
The person contacted police at 10:30 a.m. after located a handgun near the fence line on the southwest side of the property.
The handgun was secured and taken by police.
