Harbor is being dredged in St. Joe

ST. JOSEPH, Mich-- The harbor is being dredged.
MCM Marine began pumping sand out of the channel, over the weekend and putting it back on the beach.
It is good news for shippers and beachgoers.
Dredging adds about 100 feet of shoreline south of Silver Beach.
It originally wasn't supposed to happen this year, but The Army Corps found funding, after a build-up of sand closed the shipping lanes.
