Harlem Globetrotter surprises Michiana resident

A Harlem Globetrotters player surprised a Michiana resident whose dream was to meet one of the team's players.

Handles Franklin met with 76-year-old Helen Good as part of The Great Assist initiative. Their goal is to spread 100 million smiles around the world over the next 10 years with acts of kindness.

Franklin recently set the Guinness World Record for the farthest kneeling basketball shot made backwards.

"It was exciting to have one of the team members come. A couple of weeks ago when we were discussing activities that we wanted to go see, I said right off that I want to go see the Harlem Globetrotters," Good said.

Good received four tickets to the Globetrotters game at Notre Dame on January 23.
