Health department announces 5 more COVID-19 cases in Indiana, total now 24

INDIANAPOLIS—On Monday, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reported five more, new, presumptive cases of COVID-19.

The five new cases bring the total in Indiana to 24.

According to the ISDH, the five new cases involve residents in the following counties:

  • Bartholomew, 1 case
  • Floyd, 1 case
  • Hendricks, 1 case
  • Howard, 1 case
  • Marion, 1 case

The 24 Hoosiers diagnosed with coronavirus have been tested through the ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories.

In total, as of Monday, 139 people have been tested for the virus by the ISDH and the CDC.

As of Monday, zero deaths have been reported in the state of Indiana due to coronavirus.
