Heartland RV donates funds to Elkhart County's K9 Unit

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department received a $10,000 donation from Heartland RV to be used for the department's K9-Unit.
The sheriff's department has three K9s in corrections and three K9s in patrol.
The donation will allow the department to add another K9 Unit to the patrol division and allow for the purchase of additional K9 gear.
The K9 Units assist in searches for illegal substances, tracking suspects and tracking lost people.
