Heavy rain, high winds, and hail are main severe concerns today
Heat returns to kick off the work week. Temperatures across the region today will climb into the lower 90’s accompanied by sunny skies. Skies will remain clear into tonight with lows down into the upper 60’s. Tomorrow, both heat and humidity will be high, with temperatures into the upper 90’s and heat index values nearing triple digits. Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with the potential for heat advisories to be issued across the area. A cold front will arrive Wednesday morning, dropping high temperatures down into the upper 80’s and lower 90’s for the remainder of the week. There is a chance for some isolated showers and thunderstorms to pop up along the front as well.
