Hot and dry, is the forecast for the last week of August 2020, likely the hottest week of the year with highs well into the 90s. Dry, early drought conditions will worsen with the heat and sunshine. The only hope for significant rainfall is the end of the week, the remnants of the tropical system Laura will work across the Mid-South bringing a chance of rain Friday/Saturday. The heat breaks next weekend.
