HelloFresh issues recall due to salmonella in onions

HelloFresh has issued a voluntary recall after one of its suppliers recalled their onions due to the presence of salmonella.

Consumers are asked to discard all onions received from July 7 through September 8.

Check the bottom square of your box shipping label to determine whether your product is being recalled.

If you have consumed the onions, note that thoroughly cooking the product to 165ºF/74ºC, as instructed on the recipe, will kill the salmonella bacteria, according to the FDA.
