Henryville church rebuilds in time for Easter

HENRYVILLE, Ind.  -- People from all over have stepped in to help those in Henryville, one of the hardest hit areas by strong tornadoes last month.

First Baptist Church is in the beginning stages of putting their church back together just in time for Easter Sunday.

The church is getting new life thanks to recent projects including: waterproofing, installing new windows, and fixing the brick walls.

And, with Easter Sunday coming up, the church feels it's an appropriate time for a fresh start.

"It's just been incredible to see the love that people have shown Henryville...you see life springing up. You see people beginning to get back to their lives as before and see the hope that they do have," says Pastor Toby Jenkins, First Baptist Church.

The church will take a break from renovations to celebrate Easter Sunday.  They plan to hold a sunrise service at a park overlooking the path of last month's tornado.
