Henryville students go back to school

HENRYVILLE, Ind. -- On Tuesday, students returned to class in Henryville, five months after a tornado destroyed the school complex.

Construction crews worked around the clock to rebuild. Others donated money to help.

The elementary school's principal said the whole ordeal brought the community together.

"There's lots of things that have brought the community closer together, brought the staff closer together, you know, congealed the students. There's just lots of plusses that came about because of a catastrophic weather event," said Glenn Riggs.

The $55 million renovation project includes a new two-story elementary wing, a new roof, and a new gym.
