High school for adults accepting applications

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Excel Center is a free public high school for adults that is currently accepting enrollment applications for the first term of the 2021-2022 school year.

Classes for both their South Bend and Elkhart locations will begin on August 3.

These classes are taught in eight-week sessions by licensed teachers who offer individual academic plans that are uniquely developed for each student.

The Excel Center also provides free child care and life coaches to provide students with guidance for balancing family, work and other priorities they might have.

“I decided to make a choice. A turn in the road furthering my education. I’m building the confidence in myself and in my work. This wouldn’t have happened if not for the Excel Center and the help of my teachers. My life coach helps me discover the skills I didn’t know I had,” an Excel Center graduate said.
